So here is a little album called 'Silly Things' that I released on Christmas Eve 2017.
Recorded on visits to Perth from 2006-2008 at a little studio owned by Matt Jenkins in O'Connor.
The masters were lost for many years in the kerfuffle of multiple house moves and having a baby. Work and other bands took over and it was never released.
Now a decade later my good friend Shaun Hoffmann has uploaded a compressed (mastered version) ready for download. Which even seems to give it a more retro sound than the original big bass mix version that I recall scaring me a little, upon first listen. (Via Salvage Diver records).
The album includes a cool semi psychedelic remix of 'The World is Upside Down' by Ricky Maymi from (The Brian Jonestown Massacre).
Equipt with reversed synth vibrato loop and electric sitar it is my disguised tribute to John Lennon with a dash of social comment. Which ironically seems more poetic and relevant in today's world than it did when it first jumped onto the page.
An extra special treat is the bonus track with the pounding Drums of original Stems drummer Gary Chambers.
